Developed of a Business Plan for the Department of Trade and Industry for the establishment and operation of the Arabian Gulf Export Group (AGEG) and which built on lessons learnt internationally with Export Consortia. AGEG is designed to assist South African industry understand and access trade and investment opportunities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) by providing a range of services to members including facilitating market entry and exports for South African exporters by reducing costs and risk (through improved access to information and networks and sharing of certain costs) and facilitating South African productive investment in the KSA’s priority projects by facilitating relevant networks, joint ventures and consortia and sharing certain trade and investment facilitation costs.
