The City of Cape Town and Wesgro (Western Cape Trade and Investment Promotion Agency) required identification of constraints to investment in Cape Town, as well as recommendations to address these constraints. The project included: A review of national surveys on constraints to investment and business growth; a survey of 104 Cape Town-based companies to identify local-level investment constraints; a survey of companies in the ICT, tourism, business process outsourcing, boat-building, oil and gas sectors to identify sector-specific constraints to investment Development of recommendations to address prioritised investment constraints.
